who is encounter youth?
Encounter Youth is a faith based group, who respond to community needs because of the challenges and teachings of Jesus Christ. We serve people from all walks of life, no matter their spiritual, political or ethnic background. We want to see a positive movement of social and community transformation... and know it starts with us!
Encounter Youth is committed to the health, well being and creativity of South Australia’s young people.
We are a relevant, engaging organisation who is practically involved in being a positive influence on youth culture in our state. We practically serve South Australia’s young people in a number of ways.
Each year we manage South Australia’s largest youth event, ‘Schoolies Festival.’ Once again it’s being held at Victor Harbor in 2010. Friday November 19th, 20th and 21st. Check out www.schooliesfestival.com.au for the latest updates and information for the event!
We believe that prevention is better than cure and educate young people in positive life choices through Safe Partying Seminars in high schools.
